    Emar Lakes Provincial Park is comprised of a chain of large and small lakes, potholes and wetlands, enclosed by alpine forest. The chain of lakes offer excellent opportunities for canoeists and fishers and wilderness camping is permitted within the park.

    Puntchesakut Lake Provincial Park
    Puntchesakut Lake Provincial Park contains 38 hectares of aspen forest, 1200 m of waterfront and a variety of lake-based activities. The sandy beach is popular for sunbathing, picnic lunches and swimming, while those with boats often end up patrolling the lake for fish and prime water-skiing.

    Edge Hills Provincial Park
    Edge Hills Provincial Park is home to grassy benchlands, forested slopes, deep ravines and an impressive river canyon. The diverse landscape is ideal for a variety of species, including California big horn sheep, spotted bats and mule deer. The park offers few facilities so all visitors should arrive prepared.

    Downing Provincial Park
    Also know as Kelly Lake Provincial Park, this preserved landscape was donated to the province in 1970 and offers canoeing, hiking, swimming, sunbathing on the beach, and fishing in Kelly Lake.

    Horsefly Lake Provincial Park
    This provincial park contains the large Horsefly Lake as well as a number of smaller lakes, all of which are popular among anglers. Hiking is another popular pastime in the park and canoes, paddleboats and powerboats can be rented. There are a number of campsites available and Horsefly Lake includes a boat launch.

    Canim Beach Provincial Park
    Canim Beach Provincial Park is small but offers a variety of activities. Visitors can water-ski, swim, hike, canoe, kayak, boat and fish. Canim Falls are not to be missed and an old mine site is also located in the park near Hendricks Lake.

    Big Creek Provincial Park
    This large park features varied landscapes, with mountains and alpine lakes in the south, the forested Chilcotin Plateau in the north and volcanic hills and lava formations in-between. The park's spectacular scenery makes it popular with hikers, horseback riders and nature enthusiasts. Due to the remoteness of the park all visitors must be experienced in backcountry travel and well-prepared.

    Ts'il-os Provincial Park encompasses over 233,000 hectares of varied terrain, which includes rugged mountains, clear lakes, ancient glaciers and serene waterfalls. The park's diverse ecosystems have remained virtually undisturbed by human activity, making it a popular place for wildlife viewing and nature study. The park's main feature is Chilko Lake, with its blue-green water and countless recreation opportunities.

    Home to the world-renowned Bowron Lake Canoe Circuit, Bowron Lake Park is a large wilderness area that is frequented by canoeists and kayakers. The park features a varied topography and the weather often changes with little warning. The park also features a 25 unit campground.

    Homathko River-Tatlayoko Protected Area
    Homathko River-Tatlayoko Protected Area covers over 17,000 hectares of diverse landscape. Highlights include the spectacular Waddington Canyon, aquamarine Tatlayoko Lake and extensive icefields. The area also protects various animal habitats, home to grizzly bears, bald eagles, trumpeter swans and moose. Recreational opportunities include fishing, wilderness camping and windsurfing.

    Open from the middle of May until the end of September, Bull Canyon Provincial Park is small but still popular for fishing and hiking. Covered in aspen forest and wildflowers, the park features 20 vehicle and tent campsites.

    Tweedsmuir South Provincial Park
    South of Eutsuk Lake, North Tweedsmuir Provincial Park gives way to Tweedsmuir South. Access to the southern section of the park is easier than the north end and canoeing the Turner lake Chain is a popular local activity. The park is home to a varied landscape, with shield volcanoes, flowing waterfalls and dense forests home to grizzlies, wolves, cougars and more.

    Cariboo Nature Provincial Park
    This undeveloped natural area protects Woodfrog Lake and a section of the San Jose River. A variety of waterfowl congregate within the park's bounds and placed nest boxes, floating nest islands and an interpretive sign have been erected for the purpose of educating and preserving.

    Barkerville Provincial Park
    Barkerville was once a prosperous gold mining town and the Barkerville Provincial Park keeps this history alive. Guided tours of the town are offered so visitors can learn about the lives of prospectors as well as pan for gold. Hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are also possible in the park. In addition, 168 campsites are available within three campgrounds in the park.

    The Junction Sheep Range Provincial Park encompasses rolling grassland and gullies and is protected because of its herd of California bighorn sheep. No camping is permitted in this 4,500 hectare park at the confluence of the Chilcotin and Fraser Rivers.

    Flat Lake Provincial Park is a popular destination for canoe trips, with the Davis Lake Chain allowing for day trips as well as multiple day excursions. During the winter months the park's main attraction becomes cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

    Cariboo River Provincial Park
    Located along the Caribou River, this provincial park protects habitat for a variety of wildlife including moose and waterfowl. Wilderness camping is permitted but the park has no facilities so campers must be self-sustaining and bring drinking water. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are possible in the winter but there are no maintained trails.

    Located within the Fraser Basin, Ten Mile Lake Provincial Park is a popular recreation spot for activities including hiking, fishing, swimming, boating and water skiing. The park's lake features three sandy beaches. There is a picnic area onsite and two campgrounds with a number of facilities.

    Ts'yl-os Provincial Park
    At the heart of Ts'yl-os Provincial Park lies Chilko Lake, the largest, natural, high-elevation, freshwater lake in Canada, and home to rainbow trout, bull trout and sockeye salmon. To the west of the lake the Coastal Mountains rise quickly and to the east BC's dry interior plateau stretches out. Inside the park there are two campgrounds: Gwa Da Ts’ih, and the Nu Chugh Beniz, which requires a high-clearance vehicle to access.

    Nunsti Provincial Park
    Nunsti Provincial Park is located southwest of Alexis Creek but is not easily accessible on foot, by boat or on horseback. There are a number of small lakes in the park which can be reached by float plane. Due to the amount of difficulty in reaching the park, it has remained a wilderness area. Wildlife in the area includes black and grizzly bear, wolf, cougar, beaver and hare.

    Ruth Lake Provincial Park
    Located northeast of 100 Mile House, Ruth Lake Provincial Park is a day-use park that is popular among locals for swimming, kayaking, canoeing and fishing. There is a small beach with a swimming dock as well as a boat launch on Ruth Lake. Camping facilities are not provided but there are pit toilets in the park.

    Itcha Ilgachuz Provincial Park
    This 112,000 hectare park is located within the West Chilcotin Uplands. Volcanic landforms, alpine forests and prospering wetlands are all found within the park, leading to a variety of recreational opportunities. Fishing, hiking and hunting are some of the park's most popular offered activities. The park is also home to southern BC's largest herd of woodland caribou. Access to the park is limited, as no roads enter the park's boundaries.

    White Pelican Provincial Park
    White Pelican Provincial Park is a sanctuary for the White Pelican and is managed solely to protect the species.
